Abstract

Leakage defects in apartment buildings are a major source of disputes among stakeholders, making timely response essential. To reduce risk, an integrated defect information system that utilizes project phase?specific data and documented cases is needed. This study organizes leakage defect information by using BIM data and analyzing defect cases to develop a BIM-integrated knowledge graph. The proposed system consists of three layers: a BIM Data Layer, a Leakage Defect Case Layer, and a Leakage Defect Cause Layer. This structure delivers essential information for the design, construction, and maintenance phases and supports timely decision-making when leakage defects occur. A case study applied the BIM-integrated knowledge graph to an apartment project, and information extraction was validated through a three-stage query process. The system enables effective responses to leakage defects by linking cause-and attribute-level information to relevant spaces and building elements.
