Abstract

We experimentally demonstrate the use of a only 1-m long Bi2O3 based nonlinear fiber with a nonlinearity γ of ~ 1100 W-1.km-1 within an all-fiberized 80 Gbit/s OTDM data demultiplexer based on polarization rotation and XPM induced wavelength shift. Error-free demultiplexing of all 8 channels is readily achieved.
