A femtosecond passively mode-locked fiber laser using bulk-structured Bi2Te3 topological insulator

Abstract

We experimentally demonstrate a femtosecond mode-locked fiber laser using a bulk-structured Bi2Te3-deposited side-polished fiber. It is shown that ∼600-fs pulses are readily obtainable from an erbium fiber cavity.
