Abstract

A continuous wave Brillouin laser based on a highly nonlinear holey fiber (HF) was presented. The Brillouin laser output power was represented as a function of the input pump power. Results showed that laser power conversion efficiency of ∼70% and a Brillouin shifted output power of 110 mW were achieved at a wavelength of 1552.18 nm.
