Abstract
A new approach to the narrow locking range problems of an injection-locked oscillator (ILO) has been investigated using a feed back signal into the active device and a fictitious internal source generated by nonlinearities of the active device. Through this analysis, a new design methodology for an ILO with an enhanced locking range is proposed. Measured results verified the enhanced locking range of the ILO.
