A simple constitutive model for phase transformations in ferroelectrics

Research output: Contribution to journalConference articlepeer-review

Abstract

A simple constitutive model for phase transformations in ferroelectrics was discussed. One-dimensional continuum model for phase transformation and polarization reversals in a one-dimension ferroelectric bar was constructed. A Helmholtz free-energy function which is capable of thermoelectric phase transformations was discussed. A continuum model of a kinetic relation governing the propagation of a phase boundary in a thermo-polarizable solid undergoing thermoelectric phase transformation was constructed.
