Abstract

High power EM waves from nuclear explosion cause a breakdown on facilities such as power plants and air ports or even destroy them. Developed nations know that these phenomena can be used as a strong weapon for terror. For this reason, they are interested in the effects of the EM wave on the system. In the simple structures or the small systems, the EM waves can be analyzed with full wave analysis method. However, full wave analysis method is almost impossible to apply for large systems because of limited computer performance. In this paper, we analyze the shielding effectiveness inside the cavity with multi rectangular apertures using BLT equations [1] based on EM topology.
