Abstract

Airborne LiDAR integrated with on-board GPS/INS and scanning technology is a state-of the-art system for direct 3D geo-spatial data acquisition. In this study, LiDAR data were calibrated using ground points in calibration site for the higher system accuracy. The accuracy results are ±15-30 cm in horizontal and ±15 cm in vertical. The results show that LiDAR system has capability for precise DEM and contour generation, 3D urban modeling and engineering design.
