Abstract

This paper presents an abiding geocast protocol for the vehicular ad hoc network (VANET) so that commercial advertisement can be disseminated to as many vehicles as possible with a smaller number of message forwardings. To evaluate the performance of our protocol, we have implemented the prototype on the Madwifi driver for Linux and performed experimental simulations in various environments.
