Abstract

We experimentally demonstrate an OTDM demultiplexer based on a fiber Kerr gate which uses a linearly-chirped rectangular control pulse generated by shaping a spectrally broadened pulse with a fiber Bragg grating. Error-free, 40Gbit/s to 10Gbit/s demultiplexing is successfully achieved.
