Abstract

We present a novel, integrated cloud data center framework supporting Cognitive radio (CR) communications and networking. Our cloud data center architecture integrates microprocessor and software defined radio systems to support both traditional applications and CR wireless services on the cloud. We claim that our software upgradeable concepts lead to virtual and ultra-low cost CRs. We also describe cloud data center and CR network system principles combining fiber optics with high speed wireless links. This feature enables cloud packet communication protocols to remote CR units. System foundations, principles and communication analysis are presented for mobile metropolitan area CR networks.
