Abstract

The color variation of zinc gallate phosphor was discussed. The color oscillates between blue and ultraviolet by air ambient oxidation and hydrogen ambient reduction heat treatments. The heat treatment process triggered the vaporization of tetrahedrally coordinated zinc ions but the structure of the compound did not changed.
