Combined effect of noises in distributed Raman amplified systems

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contributionpeer-review

Abstract

We review the impact of two noises, reflection-induced multi-path interference and pump-intensity noise, on the Raman amplified system's performance. We find that a high reflection could enhance the pump-signal crosstalk in a counter-pumped Raman amplifier.
