Abstract

A holey fiber Raman lasers (HFRL) pumped by a continuous wave (CW) YB-doped fiber laser was studied. The temporal characteristics of the Yb-doped fiber laser as well as of the HFRL were also investigated. It was observed that pump power of 5.5 W is launch into the holey fiber, with a CW power density of 0.2 GW/cm2.
