Abstract

We experimentally demonstrate a long reach (60km), bidirectional, colorless WDM-PON architecture based on uncooled, TO-can packaged RSOAs for upstream and FP-LDs for downstream, which are wavelength-locked by a spectrum-sliced, high power, depolarised CW supercontinuum injection source.
