Abstract

We experimentally demonstrate a simple and novel erbium-doped fiber based continuous-wave supercontinuum laser. High quality of depolarized supercontinuum output with a bandwidth larger than 200 nm is achieved with a ring cavity incorporating a 2-km highly nonlinear fiber.
