Discrete Time Variable Gain Controllers for a Small Telescope Using an Image Sensor as an Error Detector

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

A variable gain controller is proposed for a small telescope using an image sensor as an error detector. It is shown that the performance of the proposed controller is better than a constant gain controller and the first order controllers when the magnitude of the rectangular disturbance are varying with time. It is also shown that the nonlinear closed loop system with the proposed variable gain controller is stable.
