Abstract
A two-stage multihop shuffle network is experimentally demonstrated. The system is implemented using two-dimensional multiple-plane wavelength-division-multiplexed (WDM) optical interconnections consisting of an integrated multiple-wavelength WDM transmitting vertical-cavity surfaceemitting laser arrays and three wavelength-selective detector arrays. Two-hop data relay of the two-stage shuffle network multihop is performed at 622 and 155 Mb/s for a two-wavelength and a three-wavelength fanout, respectively.
