Abstract

We report a passively Q-switched 1.9m thulium ZBLAN waveguide laser based on an extended cavity containing a flake-graphene saturable absorber film. The 790nm diode-laserpumped laser produces up to 6 mW with ∼1.4s pulses at ∼25 kHz.
