Abstract

Waveguide junction problems have been getting great attention because of their diverse applications in microwave devices. For a complicated shape of the junction, a numerical technique is required to obtain the full wave solution. Recently a finite element method cooperated with a moment method is widely used. The article presents a numerical technique to solve the H-plane waveguide junction problem. The junction can be arbitrary shape and arbitrary post inside. The analysis technique is a finite element technique cooperated with a moment method. The Green's function of the waveguide which is used for the moment method is expressed in the form of the hybrid ray mode which is known to be efficinet for the waveguide propagating multimodes.
