Abstract

We demonstrate a tuneable WDM wavelength converter based on XPM and optical filtering in just 6m of highly nonlinear holey fiber. Broadband 10Gbit/s wavelength conversion (∼20nm) with a constant converted pulsewidth was readily achieved due to the reduced walk-off effects.
