Abstract

We investigated the in-band crosstalk tolerance in a typical bidirectional amplifier without inter-stage components. From the experimental results, we found that the imperfect directivity of optical circulators might improve the crosstalk tolerance with the linewidth broadening effect in a bidirectional amplifier implemented with only two circulators.
