Impact of Nonlinear Crosstalk on Optical PMD Compensation

Abstract

We have investigated the effects of nonlinear crosstalk on the PMD compensation in WDM systems. The results show that the first-order PMD compensation could degrade the performances of WDM systems due to the OKE-DGD crosstalk.
