N2 - The effect of spot welding parameters, electrode force and hold time, on LME cracking was discussed. Higher electrode force and longer hold time were very effective to decrease Type B or prevent Type C LME cracks, respectively. FEM simulation studies were also done in order to understand their mechanisms. The effect of Type B crack on weld static and fatigue performances was investigated.
