Abstract

A novel microstrip-type lowpass filter is proposed to effectively suppress the spurious passbands. It is composed of series microstrips and open-ended microstrips with thin or thick film resistors appropriately inserted. The proposed lowpass filter was shown to suppress the spurious responses by more than 20 dB compared with a conventional microstrip lowpass filter.
