Abstract

The MultiView project is an ongoing five-year Network File System (NFS)-funded effort at the University of Michigan to develop an object-oriented view technology which can be used to address the needs of recently emerging applications such, as data warehousing and workflow management systems, that require sharing, virtual restructuring, and caching of data. Through MultiView, users can dynamically create and modify virtual classes and schema at any time.
