Abstract

A quantized equal gain transmission (QEGT) scheme operating in multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems is considered. We show that the QEGT scheme operating in MIMO systems over Rician fading channels can be analyzed by considering a corresponding receiver selection combining scheme operating in single-input multiple-output (SIMO) systems over correlated generalized Rician fading channels. As a special case, the QEGT scheme operating in MIMO systems over Rayleigh fading channels can be analyzed by considering a corresponding receiver selection combining scheme operating in SIMO systems over correlated Nakagami-m fading channels, where the Nakagami parameter m is set equal to the number of receive antennas.
