Abstract

Due to the disruptiveness of the nanotechnology, social impact of the nanotechnology can span quite a broad range. In this work, we reviewed societal and ethical issues in research, development and commercialization of nanotechnology. Also studies performed in Korea on societal implication of nanotechnology are summarized. The focus of the work is to find any nano-speciflc issues in societal and ethical implications of nanotechnology, starting from, in particular, Korean studies and generalizing the results to global community.
