Abstract

The electrical and optical properties of double-walled carbon nanotubes (DWNTs) were measured utilizing terahertz time-domain spectroscopy (THz-TDS), and were compared with those of single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs). The conductivity of DWNTs was consequently observed as being smaller than that of SWNTs. The plasma frequency, damping rate, etc. were obtained through Bruggman effective medium approximation.
