Ventilation and air cleaning in Korean multifamily residences

Abstract

This paper introduces the recent issues on ventilation and air cleaning in Korean multifamily residences and discusses how ventilation and air cleaning can be applied to residences, especially when the ambient air quality is poor. Moreover, the changes in indoor air quality regulations for multifamily units are reviewed. Additionally, the indoor air quality characteristics in multifamily residences are investigated and the applicability of ventilation and air cleaning as measures for resolving IAQ (Indoor Air Quality) issues is explored.
